It This was the first full marathon for many of you. Whether you successfully finished it or not, please be proud of yourself for the daily practice and running your hardest through to the end at the race. It was such a heartwarming experience for us to see you excitedly enjoying the race, and to hear from you at the Expo and the reception that you were definitely interested in expanding educational opportunities for children in developing nations.
We hope to run with you again in Osaka next year. Thank you very much!

How your donations are usedWe will utilize your donations to support students in rural areas in Myanmar who have difficulty realizing their dreams due to the low graduation rate of from high school of around 10% percent. It The donations will be used to provide educational support also for countries other than Myanmar, specifically, for offering instruction materials for teachers to resolve the shortage of teachers who can provide quality education; organizing workshops to inspire motivation for learning of children who suffer lack of confidence without role models; and providing support to more schools.

It This was the first full marathon and the first in Osaka for our staff, and we were a little anxious about what was going to happen. However, we were greatly impressed to see you making efforts to run through to the end, and working on the tough challenge while enjoying it. We are happy we were able to participate in the Osaka Marathon, run together, and share joy with you. It was one of the happiest ever days for us. We appreciate your great job. Thank you very much!

How your donations are usedWe will utilize your donations for useful purposes, specifically, for the support project that we PLAS are implementing in Kenya and Uganda for households having with AIDS orphans, etc., in particular, business launch support (café, farming, etc.) aimed at livelihood improvement of households with orphans, life planning support toward a better future, and vocational training for young people.

The Osaka Marathon is was great! It was such fun! We want to participate as runners next year! ... Saying this, we cheered on the runners with "Yume Mirai Scholarship" recipients.
The athletes running with all their strength toward the finish line 42.195 km ahead provided the scholarship recipients with the courage they will need in tackling various difficulties they will face in the course of pursuing their dreams.

How your donations are usedThere are high school students who are making efforts toward their dreams and hoping to receive higher education despite their poor learning environment brought about by financial circumstances. Osakafu Ikueikai supports such students with a grant-type scholarship "Yume Mirai Scholarship." We will utilize your donations as the fund for this scholarship.

All of you runners did a great job! We were inexperienced in providing support of this kind, but by interacting with and cheering on you on, we were greatly encouraged and recharged our energy to continue our telephone consultation activity. How your donations are usedIn recent years, the total number of suicides in Japan has shown a decreasing trend. However, if we focus on young generations, it has been increasing. The communication tool they are familiar with is SNS via smartphones and other devices. We are planning to use your donations to prepare facilities for SNS-based suicide prevention activities, and to organize training and seminars to foster, and improve the skills of, volunteer staff who can participate in this activity.

How your donations are usedTaking advantage of your donations, we will enhance our activities to share the importance of finding something that makes one's life more meaningful through our community service "Hitoshigoto-kan," which provides elderly people with opportunities to contribute to local communities utilizing their strengths. We will also utilize your donations to organize skill improvement seminars encouraging participants to acquire new skills and enhance their self-confidence, as well as to prepare more places for them to use their skills.

How your donations are usedWe will utilize your donations for our medical activities conducted overseas (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos). Last year, we started providing treatment for pediatric cancer patients at Japan Heart's medical center for children in Cambodia, and have accepted patients on a constant basis. We will make good use of the funds there.

Local staff as well as girls working as domestic workers in Bangladesh are also glad to know that you completed the race. How your donations are usedWe will utilize your donations to support girls working as domestic workers in Bangladesh. At the support center established for them, we provide them with opportunities for basic education (reading and writing, health and hygiene) and "life as children" through cultural activities and athletic meets. We are also engaged in awareness-raising activities targeted at the whole society.

How your donations are usedWe will utilize your donations for our activities to send vaccines and related equipment to Myanmar, Laos, Bhutan and Vanuatu, thereby saving children's lives that can be saved with vaccines. With the donations of 70,000 yen, we can offer polio vaccines for to approximately 3,500 children.

We were impressed to see you trying the newly introduced course in the moderate climate. All of us were happy that we were able to work with you.
Some young people are tied with society only loosely, and have few opportunities to meet those who can support them. We believe, however, that the Osaka Marathon has delivered such young people the message that many people in society wait for them to grow and become independent.
Now, it is our turn to make many attempts to connect young people and society.

How your donations are usedTo support young people is a form of social investment that returns to society in terms of tax revenues and economic activities.
Some young people cannot access support programs, even if they want to, for many reasons, such as financial hardship. We will use your donations for the free support package program that we provide for young people to find employment. The donations will cover not only our support costs, but also the young people’s travel expenses and other expenses, so they can concentrate on participating in the program.

As supporters, we cheered the runners from the sidelines along the course. At the same time, we were incredibly encouraged and impressed by the runners. We will continue working hard so that we can feel this excitement again next year. We look forward to seeing you all again.

- To continue our activities
- To provide visitors with mental support

How your donations are usedWe will use your donations to partially cover the expenses of our sports experience workshops for the hearing-impaired. At the Nagano Summarize Center, we will convert speech information into text to support such workshops.

We were very impressed with the performance of all the runners! Especially, we are grateful to charity runners who finished the race together with members of the Nijiiro Diversity. How your donations are usedWe will use your donations for collecting data on LGBT, organizing LGBT support programs in Osaka, and realizing diversity in Osaka toward Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai. For LGBT- and gender-related issues, some people might feel that it is unclear who the parties concerned are. In this environment, we will continue striving to ensure that many more citizens support diversity through our activities.

We would like to express our appreciation to all the runners in the Osaka Marathon, who excited us very much. Each runner had his/her purpose for running. Some runners, under the pressure of their first race, continued enduring the pain in their legs and backs, until finally reaching the finish line with smiles. Their smiles were truly great!! How your donations are usedWe will use your donations as subsidies for research to eradicate diabetes type I (= treatment + complete cure + prevention). We will use the money, for example, to develop a new method for implanting Langerhans islands to release patients from daily insulin injections, and to develop a vaccination to prevent the onset of diabetes type I.

We were excited to see your excellent running at the Osaka Marathon! All the 20 charity runners for our organization successfully completed the race, considerably pleasing many children in Laos who were watching the race to cheer them on. We are grateful for the support extended to us and the running performance that encouraged us. In addition, we would like to express our gratitude to all those who cheered on the runners on the sidelines along the course in the cold, and who cooperated for our support. We hope that we can work again together next year with all of you and the children in Laos to make the Osaka Marathon even more exciting!

How your donations are usedWe will use your precious donations to improve a living environment for children in Laos. Specifically, we will provide 1,000 Laotian textbooks for elementary schools in Chompet, Luang Prabang; 200 chickens and ducks as school lunches for junior high schools in Pakbeng; and a skill training program so that teachers can continue to raise fowls.

How your donations are usedGirls’ education is an effective way of solving poverty in the world. However, girls in low-income countries are still dropping out at a remarkable rate. We will use your donations for our girls’ education program, thereby enabling 50 girls to be equipped with the necessary skills for negotiating critical life decisions, and continuing support until they graduate from high school.

On the day of the event, all the 32,000 runners demonstrated excellent performance! Not only their running, but also many other things greatly encouraged Nishinari, such as powerful yelling on the sidelines along the course and many colorful banners! There were too many to mention all of them here. At a wide variety of places in Nishinari, though not throughout the district, we felt that the Osaka Marathon would serve as a good opportunity to make Nishinari an even more exciting district! This is totally due to all the runners, and all the supporters and volunteer staff on the sidelines along the course. Thank you all very much.
