About the Partnership with the Prague Marathon
Osaka Marathon has partnered with the Prague Marathon since 2023, deepening the relationship through mutual race promotion and other collaborative efforts.
Starting in 2025, the two races entered into an agreement for an even closer partnership, and in addition to their existing initiatives, they began offering entry rights to each other’s events.
Main Partnership Activities
- One male and one female Osaka Marathon representative runner residing in Osaka Prefecture will be awarded entry to the Prague Marathon in the same year.
- One male and one female Prague Marathon representative runner residing in Prague will be welcomed to Osaka Marathon in the following year.
- Mutual placement of advertisements in each race program

Presentation of the Czech Ambassador’s Friendship Cup
and the Prague Marathon Award
The Czech Ambassador’s Friendship Cup was presented to the top Japanese male finisher at Osaka Marathon 2026.
In addition, a “Prague Marathon Award” certificate was presented by Mr. Matsumoto, Chair of the Osaka Marathon Organizing Committee, to one male and one female runner residing in Osaka Prefecture who achieved top results at Osaka Marathon 2026.
The two runners were sent to compete in the Vodafone Prague Marathon 2026*, held on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
* In 2026, the race name includes the title partner.

Founded in 1995. The race is held under the theme “ALL RUNNERS ARE BEAUTIFUL.” Each year, it attracts a wide range of participants from around the world, from elite runners to marathon enthusiasts. Starting in Prague’s Old Town Square, the course winds through the city along the Vltava River, offering runners the chance to enjoy beautiful scenery throughout the race.
