How to Enter

General runners are runners other than Runners with Disabilities, Citizen Athletes, Osaka Sports Support Runners, Charity Runners, Runners with Entry to Osaka Marathon 10K & Fun RUN, 720〈Naniwa〉Marathon (Runners), 720〈Naniwa〉Marathon (Wheelchair), and the Elite Division.

The entry period is from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to Friday, August 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

If the number of applications exceeds the capacity, entrants will be selected by a draw.

This category is open to holders of Physical Disability Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, or Rehabilitation Certificate.

If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of 50, entrants will be selected by a draw.

When failing the draw, the applicant will be automatically entered into the draw again as General Runners. Re-entry is not required.

Separate from general entry for this race, information will be provided around October 2026, and entries are scheduled to be accepted from around December 2026 to January 2027.

Through the hometown tax donation program, one entry right will be awarded to any person who donates 100,000 JPY or more during the application period to either the Osaka Prefecture Namihaya Sports Promotion Fund or the Osaka City Sports Promotion Fund as a donation for the Osaka Sports Support Runners program, or to a person designated by the donor. Participation fee and other charges are required separately.

No refunds will be made after the donation payment has been completed, regardless of the reason.

The donation application period is from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to Monday, October 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of 800 runners, with 400 places for Osaka Prefecture and 400 places for Osaka City.

• *An entry code will be sent by e-mail to those whose donation of 100,000 JPY or more has been confirmed.
• There is a field to enter the entry code during the entry procedure, so please enter it and complete your entry.
• (Please note that making a donation alone does not complete your entry for the Osaka Marathon.)

After making your donation, the entry period will remain open until Monday, October 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM, counting from the date your entry code is issued.

The Osaka Marathon is accepting applications for Charity Runners, who can participate in the race by choosing a Charity Partner (charitable organization) they wish to support and raising donations (fundraising) of 70,000 JPY or more from family members, friends, and others (supporters) who sympathize with the activities of that organization.

Charity Runners are invited to take part in order to deepen understanding of the Osaka Marathon’s charity activities and to expand the circle of support.

Charity Runners are asked to promote the charity project together with their chosen recipient organization and to raise donations from supporters who share their commitment to charity. (If the donations from supporters do not reach the target amount, Charity Runners will donate the shortfall personally.)

You can participate by paying the participation fee (145 USD) and donation (485 USD: 475 USD + 5 USD × 2 units) at the time of entry, without using fundraising. Please check the charity runner application instructions page.

Entry period is from Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM to Monday, October 19, 2026 at 5:00PM. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of 1,000 runners (Domestic and Overseas combined).

This category includes entry to the 10 km race of the Osaka Marathon 10K & Fun RUN, a running event scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

10K & Fun RUN: A JAAF-certified event held at Yanmar Stadium Nagai. In addition to measuring official records for the 10 km race, it also includes a Fun RUN of approximately 3 km.

The entry period is from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to Friday, August 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of 200 runners.

This is a 7.2 km course that starts in front of the Osaka Prefectural Government Building and finishes in front of the Children’s Book Forest Nakanoshima in Nakanoshima. The invitation to experience the atmosphere of an event with more than 30,000 runners taking part is extended to beginner runners, who are also warmly encouraged to join.

*If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of 2,000, entrants will be selected by a draw.

This entry category is open to participants using everyday wheelchairs and sports wheelchairs (excluding racing wheelchairs for athletics and electric wheelchairs). The course is 720 meters long and uses the same finish gate as the full marathon. Come and experience the joy of taking part in the competition.
