Osaka Marathon 2027 will be held as an event of the MGC Series 2026–27 (Men’s G1 / Women’s G2).

Separate from general entry for this race, information will be provided around October 2026, and entries are scheduled to be accepted from around December 2026 to January 2027.
- Eligibility
- (1) Athletes who meet both of the following requirements:
① Registered athletes of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations for FY2026 who are at least 19 years old on race day.
② Athletes who have achieved the following officially recognized time in an officially recognized competition in Japan or overseas between December 1, 2024 and the entry deadline.
Men
- Marathon
- 2:26:30 or faster
- Half Marathon
- 1:07:00 or faster
- 30km
- 1:38:30 or faster
- 10000m
- 0:30:00 or faster
Women
- Marathon
- 3:00:00 or faster
- Half Marathon
- 1:20:00 or faster
- 30km
- 2:02:00 or faster
- 10000m
- 0:35:00 or faster
(2) Male and female athletes recommended by the organizer
(3) Invited male and female athletes from Japan and overseas

Standards may be set as necessary for race operations.
